Missing tools? Livermore police may have them after arresting Tracy man

Staff file A Tracy man was arrested Fri after a search of his Livermore business and home not covered $65,000 worth of stolen goods, mostly power tools.

LIVERMORE — A Tracy man has been arrested for having $65,000 worth of stolen goods, everything from power tools to computers to an air condition installation.

Eddie Edwards, who also owns a business in Livermore, was arrested Fri after a two-week investigation, Livermore police said. The department began investigating the person on Feb. three after he allegedly tried to sell $20,000 worth of tools to a local contractor. The contractor instead called police, suspecting the items were stolen.
